The Weather Outside is Frightful, but my Shoes are so Delightful

It's snowing like crazy in NYC and the sidewalks are covered in ice sheets, so I'm spending my night in looking for fun clothes online and blogging.  I wanted to share a quick post of my outfit today.  I'm wearing an Urban Renewal puff shoulder blouse with JBrand wide leg jeans.

I love the back of this shirt and the exposed zipper!

Worn with my KT Collection Dream Catcher necklace and my "K" initial necklace from Rafia.

My geometric brass ring from Urban Outfitters.

Deux Lux king clutch.  I was so excited when I got this bag in the mail.  I also got it in the hobo size because I love the large covered studs so much!

Jeffery Campbell Tick wedges.  I love these shoes.  They're so fun!

Ropes Course

Earlier this week we cooked dinner after work using the Vermont maple syrup we picked up on our ski trip.   I wore a grey wool mini skirt with a studded waistband from Urban Outfitters, a cream cotton shirt, and plum colored tights from Hue.

Close up on the studded waistband of the skirt.

Gold Marc Fisher heels.

Intertwined  rope necklace from Anthropologie.  I think this is a very cool looking, kinda nautical necklace and design.

Wood block ring from H&M.

The cool vintage tin the maple syrup was packaged in.  So retro looking!

Here are the maple pork chops with apples, asparagus and wild rice we made.  Everything was so yummy.   I can't wait to try the syrup on pancakes this weekend!

Slopes

This past weekend I headed up to Killington, Vermont with about 15 friends for a weekend ski get away.  I was super excited to get out of the city for the weekend and to plan fun and cozy outfits for a ski get away.  I'm not posting any pics of my actual ski outfit, because it wasn't that exciting, but I did have to post a pic of this cute moose we found outside of a gift shop we stopped at.

This weekend I was all about comfort and warmth, so I wore a lot of warm sweaters and comfy pants.  Here I'm wearing American Apparel winter leggings in charcoal with a long, nubby sweater from Anthropologie and a grey and cream plaid shirt from AE underneath.  I also wore my Marc Jacobs duck booties and petal to the metal hobo (I'm so obsessed with this bag.  I don't think I've worn another bag since it arrived in the mail!)

Twisted metal ring by Carmen Q and double finger bar ring from Urban Outfitters.

Also wore my double thorn necklace from Mignon Faget.  I love how this necklace is so petite and edgy at the same time.

On our second day in Killington, I wore a super cute and affordable bronze stud sweater from AE with my Current Elliot super slouchy skinny jeans.  I absolutely love these jeans.  They are the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn.  The material is extremely soft.  I could literally live in these jeans and highly recommend purchasing if you're looking for "boyfriendish" jeans!!  Worn with fuzzy UGG boots.

Relaxing in my comfy apres ski outfit.

I also wore these bronze heart leaf earrings by Erica Weiner.

And my double finger stone ring I picked up from a street artisan in Soho.

Also had to post a these cute and hopefully yummy mixes I got from a quaint gift shop in Vermont.  I can't wait to make the apple cinnamon muffins and buttermilk pancakes.  We also got some authentic Vermont maple syrup, which I'll post more about later, and I can't wait to put it on the pancakes!

Mad For Plaid

My company was nice enough to give me President's Day off this Monday, so I spent the day wondering around my neighborhood and having some Mimosas and brunch.   I  wore a long plaid dress I picked up at Target while I was home over Christmas break.  I thought this could be a fun dress to experiment with and it was on sale for $12.99...can't be beat.  I paired the dress with my AE bomber jacket and Frye harness boots for my neighborhood walk.

I also wore this cropped navy hoodie underneath my jacket to stay warm in doors.

This was also my first opportunity to wear my new Marc Jacobs Petal to the Metal Hobo bag.  I'm so excited about this bag.  I love the little doves on the front and the overall shape of the bag!

Also wore my wood block ring from H& M, gold octopus ring and my gold bubble necklace from F21 (not pictured here).

:-* Happy V-Day :-*

My beautiful V-day flowers!  So pretty and they smell so good.

My furry valentine loving the flowers.

I didn't wear this on Valentine's day, but I did wear this to see Valentine's Day, the movie, on Saturday night.  The movie was a typical chick flick with some funny and heartfelt moments.  The robust cast was probably the best part.  Wearing a chunky knit u-neck sweater from H&M with black eel leggings from American Apparel.

I also wore my grey over the knee boots from Victoria's Secret and my colorful Hayden Harnett handbag to brighten up the otherwise dark ensemble.

I also wore this double finger stone ring I picked up from a street artisan in Soho.

Hope everyone had a fantastic Valentines Day!

Celeb Style Steals on Shopsterium

Special thanks to Dejana at www.shopsterium.com for using my photo for her Celebrity Style Steal feature today!  Check it out along with her other style steals of the day.

Who Dat?

As most of you know the Super Bowl was this weekend and with my favorite team, The Steelers, being out of the running I decided to route for the team with a similar color scheme to the The Steelers, The Saints.  Wearing a plaid shirt from Urban Outfitters, cut off jeans from American Eagle, gold tights with black swiss dot tights on top and my Marc Jacobs duck booties.

One of my friends hosted a Super Bowl party at his apartment and the food was amazing. He made everything from mini burgers to pulled pork sandwiches, to individual nachos.  It was amazing.  My friends and I brought the desserts above.  I have to give shot out to my friends Maggie & Amy for their craftmanship on the Saints sugar cookies.  Very cute!

Close up of my Marc duck boots.  They are fully lined with fur (fake of course) and are so comfy and warm!

Also wore this fun zipper ring from Urban Outfitters.  I love how it's one interconnected ring that spans across 3 fingers!

Happy day after the Super Bowl everyone!  And thanks to all of my followers and commenters.  It means so much to have people reading and enjoying on my blog! :-)

Champagne

Last night I had a client dinner at Son Cubano in the Meat Packing district in NYC.  I love going to that neighborhood because of all of the amazing shops...Yigal Azrouel, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQ to name a few.  Just walking around down there is a shopping trip in itself.

The food at Son Cubano was also amazing.  I had the Rope Vieja and it was delish!  I wore a silk and wool dress from JCrew, with a sequin trim cardigan over top.

Here's a close up of the amazing hand sewn petals on the dress.  When I saw these petals I had to snatch up the dress.  I also love the color palette.  I feel like these creamy champagnes are not colors I normally wear that often in a dress, so it was a great add to my wardrobe.

Worn with plum tights and gold Marc Fischer heels.

Also wore the above Noir ring and my Anthropologie earrings.  I love this giant ring and the pretty pearly blue beads.  Please disregard the bad mani.  It's been a super long work week & I haven't had time for a polish update, but I'm very excited to get one this weekend.  I just got Essie matte finish top coat and I'm excited to try it out over my colored polish this weekend.

Happy Thursday everyone!

Sunday Brunch

This past Sunday I spent the day brunching and roaming around the city.  We had a yummy brunch at a very airy, open brunch spot in Hell's Kitchen called HK5.  The shot above is of the brunch table and my Bellini.  I loved how bright, white and sunny HK5 was.

To brunch I wore a Tracy Reese dress with a pink cashmere sweater over the blouse of the dress.  I was very excited to dress down this Reese number, as I've wore it out several times at night and it was fun to make this more day.

After brunch we visited the Hell's Kitchen flea market, conveniently right outside of HK5, until we worked up enough appetite to stop at Cupcake Cafe.  The cupcakes there are so beautiful.   Each flower is so detailed and delicate.

Just I few photos I took while walking around.  Even though this city is made up of concrete and buildings there are still so many pretty sights.

The Hayden Harnett bag I also wore that day.  I especially love the inside of this bag as it has three compartments with the middle being a kiss lock pocket.

Anthropologie earrings.

Spike bracelet by Free People.

Candela NYC studded biker boots.

Had such and enjoyable Sunday roaming around this city of mine.  :-)
