Thanks so much to Vicen over at Look 10 for choosing me for his Look 10 Award today!
Too kind.  I really appreciate it!

Casting Shadows

Hi Everyone!  Happy Tuesday!  I had such a fun time this past weekend so I figured I'd share another post from it.  This is an outfit I wore out to a friend's birthday party on Saturday night after spending the day at a neighborhood bar with friends watching the US soccer team lose to Ghana.  (Only low point, but I got over it quickly!)

Silk Ruffle Shorts - H& M Garden Collection
One Shouldered Cotton Shirt - Victoria's Secret

My morning even started out nice, when my beau surprised me with some delicious treats from a neighborhood cafe, along with some mimosas!

Also wore this ring sent to me from LuShae Jewelry.  I love how geometric and chic it is!  It's  such an versatile piece I know I'll be wearing it with so many outfits.  Their website also has super cute stories about the history of each form of jewelry.  Thanks LuShae!

Isharya Orbit Druzy Bib Necklace.  I love this piece because each druzy stone is so feminine and delicate, yet together they make such a commanding piece.

Banana Republic Nude Heels

Lauren Merkin Cork Clutch

Hope everyone is enjoying the start of their week & looking forward to the (hopefully) long July 4th weekend!

Marco Polo

I had such an amazing Sunday this past weekend.  I hopped on a subway, then a ferry to get over to the Veuve Clicquot Annual Polo Match on Governor's Island.  Prince Harry was playing, Veuve Clicquot was the sponsor and the whole place was like a fashion show, so needless to say I was in heaven.

Wearing an ombre sun dress with Anthropologie belt and a big floppy straw hat I scored from a street vendor in my neighborhood.

Gold butterfly earrings from Anthropologie

Chamak by Priya Kakkar Double Stone Ring

Nude and white stripe espadrilles dug out from the back of my closet

Prince Harry is # 1

Since there was so much fabulous fashion at the event I also snagged some photos of some of my favs.

Love the super wide brim hat and ruffly dress.

This super pretty umbrella was amazing.  I'm on a quest to find one for myself next year!

Such a great vision in white & I loved the fringe at the bottom of this dress!

I love love love the ruffle back and floatiness of this tank

Another cool back!

This girl's dress was so floaty and hippish.  She looked so chic!

I spotted this awesome gold necklace from a distance and have been thinking about it ever since.

This girl's hat and fan were so fun!

Also loved this dress.  So breezy and easy, yet chic!

Blues Street

So it's reached scorchingly hot levels in NYC and I'm just counting down for the thunderstorm that's supposed to hit here shortly.  In the meantime I ventured out to dinner last night in Hell's Kitchen in one of the breeziest, lightest dresses I own.

Blue cotton dress - Victoria's Secret
Nautical Ropes Belt - Anthropologie

Rebecca Minkoff Devote Tote in Neon

Snake Skin Pattern Heels - Colin Stuart (These shoes are super cute in person, they actually are not just silver, but reflect rainbow like colors).

Amber and Larimar ring I picked up on a recent trip to the Dominican Republic with my boyfriend extraordinaire. :-)

The DR is actually know for its production of Larimar and Amber, so I was super excited to pick up this ring made right at the factory I toured.

Peplums

Happy almost Friday everyone!  Tonight I'm at home catching up on my missed TV due to this crazy week (The Bachelorette, The Hills, and The City).  I know they're bad, but I chalk them up to guilty pleasures.  Also wanted to do a quick outfit post from my archives.  This is an outfit I wore out to dinner on the Lower East Side of Manhattan this spring.

Peplum/Open Back Dress - Anthropologie

Denim topper - American Eagle

Snake Skin Bag - Rafe (This bag is so luxe and soft feeling!)
Violet and Gold Heels - Colin Stuart

Wowee Zowee

This past weekend I went for a happy hour birthday celebration at a roof top bar in Korea town.  Since it was super hot and humid I was excited to break out my high waisted Thread Social madras shorts.  Worn with a Victoria's Secret cropped tank.

I also wore my cute, sparkly, little Octopus earrings from Anthropologie.  I've had these since my birthday in March and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear them.

H & M block ring.

Irregular Choice Wowee Zowee shoe.  I love the cool stacked heel on these.

Home Sweet Home

Hi Guys.  So I'm lucky enough to have this lovely Friday off and it's such a beautiful day in NYC I can't wait to get out and explore my city.  I hope to make stops in Central Park to enjoy the day, maybe Soho for some shopping, and later tonight my friend's b-day at the Me Bar roof deck.  Before I head out I wanted to do a quick outfit post.  I took these photos a while ago, but never posted and now is as good a time as any.

I took these photos the last time I was home at my parents house and while I was there I went to the local mall.  I grew up with this mall and used to love it, but I've seen it go down hill more and more each time I come back.  However I did find this super cute romper by Bisou Bisou at JC Penny.  This is normally not a place I frequent for my fashion finds, but hey when in Rome.  I was really surprised by the amazing colors in this romper.  It reminded me of one of those beautiful, blazing red sunsets you can only get at the beach.  And on sale for a great price, I just couldn't resist.

Worn with my Irregular Choice Wowee Zowee heels.  The heel on this shoe is so amazing.  It's a bunch of rectangles piled on top of each other to make a haphazard stack.  And I love the way the front part is very classic black and gold straps to balance things out.  Oh and they are super comfortable!

Kendra Scott bib necklace.

Lauren Merkin clutch.

That's all for now.  Off to enjoy this beautiful day outdoors!

Grecian

Although I hadn't been blogging for a while, I was definitely still taking pics.  I took these photos while home at my parents house over Easter.  Their porch is very relaxing and I love swinging on the porch swing.

!Wearing an Anthropologie dress and and an Eddera gold leaf headband.  I love this head band.  It totally makes me feel like a Greek goddess!

Nine West Elkies.

Abalone three stone earrings I picked up at a trade show.

Double Happiness gold ring.  I love so much of their jewelry.  I can't get enough!

What's Cookin Good Lookin?

This past weekend NYC held it's annual Big Apple BBQ Block Party, where BBQ restaurants and famous Pit Masters from all over come and cook up delicious food for the folks in NYC.  The food was amazing and it's safe to say I ate my own body weight in BBQ.

On the first day of the BBQ I wore a long an roomy dress so I could easily sit on the ground while eating as much BBQ as I wanted.  Tribal print silk maxi dress from Forever 21 with Marc Jacobs Petal to the Metal Hobo.

I added on some random wooden bangles from H&M and a sapphire cuff bracelet from Kevia.

Also added on these little flower ear buds.  The petals just fall over the ear for a sweet and delicate look.
Here's a shot of the just some of the people in NYC who love their BBQ!

A shot of some of the best pulled pork I've ever had thanks to Big Bob's BBQ.

Also some yummy ribs from Pappy's BBQ.

A shot of the sauces and rubs they had for sale.  I took home some Big Bob's.

On my second day at the BBQ I went with a pair of baggy boyfriend jeans from American Eagle with a peach tank with gold studs from Express (sorry the studs which make the shirt interesting are kinda hard to see in the photos, but you can click to make the photos bigger).

Also wore my nautical rope necklace from Anthropologie.

And my double finger ring from a Soho street artisan.

Lastly I paired my outfit with these cream Faryl Robin Madison wedges.

What's the best BBQ you guys have had?  Let me know!
