What a Lovely Evening

I haven't gotten a chance to blog about a great event I went to a couple of weeks ago and I thought tonight would be a great opportunity.  The New York Times held a great cocktail event at the Empire hotel on a beautiful night in NYC and I was very excited to attend.  Wearing a woven cream dress from Victoria's Secret.

First how could I not be excited to attend a party at Gossip Girl's home to Chuck Bass?  I could almost feel him and Blair there.  j/k

The night was unbelievably nice and the view was stunning - looking over Lincoln Center and a sunset over the Hudson River.

Red, White & Blue

This 4th of July I spent the day at Pier I which overlooks the Hudson river on Manhattan's Westside. This was the perfect spot to see the Macy's fireworks once the sun went down.

Wearing a Forever 21 dress, Phillip Lim Belt, Marc Jacobs bag, and Chanel sunnies.

Also wore the earrings I picked up in a Soho store that features new designers. They are real flowers which are covered over with a clear plastic to protect them.

Ring I picked up in Cape May, NJ at a very cute antiquey jewelry store. It's actually a piece of an antique plate framed in metal.

I I rarely wear flats, but feel like this dress and the day call for some. These are one of the few and favorite flats I have from Urban Outfitters.

I'm so exhausted from the day, but all I did was spend my day off in the park eating and drinking, so it doesn't make much sense.  I wanted to do a quick post of an outfit from earlier this week before retiring to bed with my new Lucky magazine.

I'm With the Band

Tonight I went to see a friend's show at Arlene's Grocery on the Lower East Side.  I love the down town vibe of this place.  I feel like it has the true essence of downtown Manhattan rock.

I went for an edgy, rocker, 80ish vibe for the show.  Wearing a neon yellow bandage skirt from Express.  I picked this up on a random trip to Express for $23.  It was one of the last ones left!

Strappy, neon, multi colored heels from Report Signature.  I love these shoes so much.  I get a  neoprene/surfer feel from them.

Here's the band I went to see - Dunnie Bobos.  Awesome show!

There was also some great style to be seen at the show.  I love Cynthia's funky mohawk.  I need to figure out how I can do this with my much longer hair.  Awesome earrings too.

I also loved Jamie's rocker style.  Not many guys can pull off white skinny jeans, but these totally worked on him.

I'm so exhausted from the show tonight, so I'm off to bed, but wanted to share this post first since I was really excited for all the pics I snapped tonight.
