Fab Sugar Blogger Models

During fashion week this September, I got the awesome opportunity to be a blogger model for Fab Sugar at the Elizabeth and James pop up shop in downtown Manhattan. Check out the video on FabSugar to see all the behind the scenes styling, make up, and hair. Above is a photo of myself and the other models. Love the amazing outfits and check out my hair. A totally cool Rockabillly look done by Sally Hershberger stylists!

Here I'm getting my make up done by an incredibly nice and incredibly talented artist from Bobby Brown. The look of the day were smokey olive eyes and nude lips.

A shot of the racks with our clothing. They hung the clothes with pictures of us pinned to them. Made me feel like an actual model for a moment. :)

The girls and I after the show, clothes returned, but still looking pretty FAB if you ask me!

Elle RISD Fashion Next

Ok so I promise, I'm kind of over posting about summer looks. Although it did go back to being rather warm in NYC these past few days. Anyway while I'm kind of in a fall frame of mind I decided to post about the Elle RISD Fashion Next show I went to during Fashion Week. Above is a picture of me with Robbie Myers, Editor of Elle. I was so excited to meet her....my kind of celebrity!

Myself and my friend having fun on the step and repeat. I didn't get a chance to snap my full outfit in the blur and fun of the event, but what you can see here is:
-Studded grey jacket from TopShop
-Abstract Floral Print Dress from F21
-Hayden Harnett Bag
-Also wearing lime green pumps from Steve Madden, not pictured here.

And now for the show! Super funky shoes, that actually broke during the models last walk down the runway.

Amazing cream coat. I love the neckline. I want!

Hat on a hat, hat?????

I thought both of these chain pieces were super cool.

Cute little bubble dress.

Face mask...need I say more.

Also loved the back of this dress. I would love to wear something this surprising in the back!

These are only a few of the amazing looks I saw, but I wasn't able to snap pics of them all. Thanks Elle for letting me come see these amazing new designers and make sure you check them all out on Elle!

Fruit Stand

We came across the cutest roadside fruit stand while on vacation and since I had on such appropriate shoes, I decided I had to stop and take some photos. We picked up some really yummy fruit and a key lime pie. Yum!

Wearing a Jovovich Hawk denim vest with scallop edge shorts from Urban Outfitters.

Fruity shoes by Faryl Robin, I picked up years ago.

Nautical rope necklace from Anthropologie.

Set of sapphire, emerald and ruby stackable rings by Kevia.

Sionara Summer

So I know it's quickly turning into fall on the East Coast, but I have several summery pics left to share, so in this last few days of true summer I wanted to share my farewell summer pics. I really should be blogging about fashion week, and I do have fun pics and exciting experiences to share, but I guess I can't stop hanging on to the last sun kissed warm weather days. Fall looks wish lists, and fashion week to come soon, but first my beachy outfits.

Here I'm wearing a Leyendecker one shoulder dress. I'm in love love with this dress and the amazing fades of yellow, coral, poppy, and black down the front. Reminds me of a sunset fading to night at the beach.

Aldo peach pumps. Love the little ruffle on the front.

Lauren Merkin woven clutch and triple finger gold ring from Urban Outfitters.

Special thanks to my Aunt for capturing all these sionara summer shots!

Purple Paradise

Here are some pics from the first day of my beach trip.  After spending the day lounging in the sun, I made my first excursion out to go shopping in the cute little beach town.  Here I am standing outside one of the stores,  wearing an ikat/tye-dye print skirt from Anthropologie, purple tank from American Eagle, and Ray Ban aviators.

Diane Von Furstenberg Opal Wedges.  Definitely one of my favorite buys of this summer.  Love the wooden gradated heel.

Lauren Merkin clutch & gold octopus ring.  I love love love this bag.  It has so many folds and tucks and is so delicate.

Double happiness earrings.  Picked these up at a trade show a few years back and I love the gradation of colors in these earrings!

Happy Sunday all!!

Cold Shoulder

Hi Guys!  So I've been on vacation for a bit, but have tons of pics to share & I'm so excited about it.  Lots of pictures are from my beach vaca so I'm super excited to share pics with amazing scenery, not that NYC isn't amazing scenery, but nature is a nice change of pace for me.  Before I start beach posts wanted to share a work outfit from a few weeks back.

I love this dress for work because it's professionally appropriate, yet it's still perfect for a job that let's you be a little more creative in what you wear.

Wearing a one shoulder Michael Kors dress.

With a clear charm necklace and a beautiful necklace brought to me by boyfriend extrodinare from Argentina.  The pink pendant is the natural stone of Argentina and I love the not so perfect shape of the stone.

Silver stack rings.

Banana Republic nude heels...honestly my life saving shoes.  They go with everything.

Excited to start sharing beach posts soon!

What a Lovely Evening

I haven't gotten a chance to blog about a great event I went to a couple of weeks ago and I thought tonight would be a great opportunity.  The New York Times held a great cocktail event at the Empire hotel on a beautiful night in NYC and I was very excited to attend.  Wearing a woven cream dress from Victoria's Secret.

First how could I not be excited to attend a party at Gossip Girl's home to Chuck Bass?  I could almost feel him and Blair there.  j/k

The night was unbelievably nice and the view was stunning - looking over Lincoln Center and a sunset over the Hudson River.

Carlos Santana rainbow and tan colored shoes.

Anthoropolie Sunbell necklace.  I love this necklace it's beautiful and delicate and on sale now at Anthro!!!

Over the knuckle ring from a street vendor in Soho.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday night!  Have a great week ahead!

Thanks again for Look of the Week Fab Sugar!!

I'm so honored and excited to be chosen by Fab Sugar for Look of the Week for the second week in a row.  Thank you so much!!

Red, White & Blue

This 4th of July I spent the day at Pier I which overlooks the Hudson river on Manhattan's Westside. This was the perfect spot to see the Macy's fireworks once the sun went down.
Wearing a Forever 21 dress, Phillip Lim Belt, Marc Jacobs bag, and Chanel sunnies.

Also wore the earrings I picked up in a Soho store that features new designers. They are real flowers which are covered over with a clear plastic to protect them.

Ring I picked up in Cape May, NJ at a very cute antiquey jewelry store. It's actually a piece of an antique plate framed in metal.

I I rarely wear flats, but feel like this dress and the day call for some. These are one of the few and favorite flats I have from Urban Outfitters.
Hope everyone enjoyed their 4th and the weekend!

Chica Loca

I'm so exhausted from the day, but all I did was spend my day off in the park eating and drinking, so it doesn't make much sense.  I wanted to do a quick post of an outfit from earlier this week before retiring to bed with my new Lucky magazine.

Skinny Jeans - J Brand
Red Floral Tank & Studded Vest - Forever 21

Red Platforms - Jeffery Campbell

Gold Druzy Ring - Double Happiness
Stingray Ring - Kevia

Large cyrstal hoops - Lisa Stewart

Off to the beach early tomorrow, so I'm headed to off to read and get some rest.
